Hull KR vs Brisbane Broncos prediction
A huge occasion lies ahead as the Super League winners face the NRL champions. Not many would’ve expected Hull KR to have triumphed domestically last season, but Willie Peters made history by guiding the club to a historic treble. Mikey Lewis is a superstar and he’ll need to be at his very best against this stacked Brisbane Broncos side. Hull KR may still be smarting after their shock defeat to York Knights in their opening Super League fixture of the campaign and this represents a great chance to bounce back.
The Broncos will be big favourites despite the NRL team losing this match in each of the past two years, with that team being Penrith Panthers on both occasions. Brisbane though, with the plethora of world class players at their disposal are going to prove so difficult for Hull KR to contain. Reece Walsh gained headlines for his performances in an Aussie shirt last Autumn in the Ashes series and should have a big role to play again here.
The crowd should serve as a leveller, which we saw when Penrith came over to Wigan back in 2024, but this Brisbane squad are such a destructive outfit that backing them regardless must be favoured, with a small handicap as well.
