Hull FC Team News: Two season-enders

A torn pec muscle has ruled Jed Cartwright out for the season, whilst Liam Knight is also sidelined until next year with an ankle problem. In better news, Liam Watts has been passed fit for the hosts following a HIA.

Leeds Rhinos Team News: Skipper out

Leeds Rhinos will be without their captain for this game, Ash Handley having suffered a groin injury in the last round of fixtures. However, Cooper Jenkins is available for the visitors, as is Mikolaj Oledzki.

Squad: Lachie Miller, Harry Newman, Ryan Hall, Brodie Croft, Mikolaj Oledzki, Andy Ackers, Keenan Palasia, James Bentley, James McDonnell, Jarrod O’Connor, Sam Lisone, Morgan Gannon, Cooper Jenkins, Jake Connor, Jack Sinfield, Ben Littlewood, Max Simpson, Kallum Watkins, Presley Cassell, Chris Hankinson, Joe Shorrocks

Hull FC vs Leeds Rhinos Prediction

Whilst Hull FC are fairly entrenched in mid-table, Leeds Rhinos can still finish inside the top two of Super League with a strong end to the regular season. The Rhinos arrive into Hull in really good form having recorded three successive victories. Not only that, they’ve racked up 114 points over the course of those three wins.

Hull FC were narrow losers last time out away at St. Helens but have been good at home recently, so Leeds Rhinos will need to be at their best. But the visitors’ desire and need to win may well prove to be greater than that of John Cartwright’s side and this makes the Rhinos worth backing to pick up the two points.
