Hubert Hurkacz vs Sebastian Ofner prediction

Sebastian Ofner’s renaissance continues as he upset fourth seed Karen Khachanov to reach the last four. 

The Austrian’s run from qualifying has now seen him clock up five straight wins in Geneva, dropping just the one set along the way.

This time the world number 128 came from behind to defeat the Russian 4-6 6-4 6-4. 

Former world number 37 Ofner, who is closing-in on a return to the top 100, will now face Hubert Hurkacz for a spot in the final. 

The Pole looks to be back to his best after an injury disrupted start to the year and he was in excellent form as he picked up a rare 6-3 7-6 win over top seed Taylor Fritz.

Hurkacz did beat Ofner in their only previous meeting in a lower tier event way back in 2016, and while that may not much have bearing on this, the sixth seed’s serve and forehand have still managed to  thrive in the cooler, rain-affected conditions this week.

If Hurkacz maintains a high first-serve percentage and keeps executing the plus-one effectively, he's an obvious favourite to win and reach his first final on clay since Estoril last year.
