It is impossible to ignore the form of Incentivise who goes in search of an incredible tenth successive victory. He will have to contend with a rise in weight to 9st and looks on the heavy side but he showed plenty in victory when winning the Caulfield Cup. He’s won both races on this track to date so will not be fazed by the course while he has only failed to win three races in his career so far. If Incentivise cannot get the job done, one horse that should get into the mix is last year’s champion Twilight Payment. He was a 22/1 winner last time around and is still a value pick for this renewal with him readily available at 12/1 but he will have to overcome top weight at 9-2 to get his nose in front.
