THE LOWDOWN
The Ultima looks like a wide-open race with plenty having chances and the betting market suggests it could be tricky to pick a winner. Happygolucky for Kim Bailey could just go off favourite with the novice performing well back at this course back in December to claim a second win in three races when chasing. That C&D win could prove to be the pick of the form, although One For The Team and Aye Right could be the others to keep an eye on. However, with just one win between them when chasing (Aye Right back in January 2020), they will have to find a bit more to get their nose in front.
THE PREDICTION
A tough race to call but preference is just for Happygolucky whose recent form looks to be the standout amongst the field. With two wins from three when chasing, the most recent of which coming over C&D, Kim Bailey’s 7-year-old can do what his required. He likes it at Cheltenham and his consistency should see him challenge for a place at the very least but he can do enough to be first past the post.
