THE LOWDOWN
Envoi Allen can light up day 3 with Henry de Bromhead’s newly acquired 7-year-old well-fancied to win the opener on Thursday. He is unbeaten in 11 races and has managed to overcome every challenge of his career so far. He has comfortably taken to chasing with three wins from three and he is definitely the one to beat here. His nearest competitor could be Shan Blue, although Dan Skelton’s horse will have to improve on his second place last time out at Sandown when he was behind Sporting John which brought to an end his three-race winning streak
THE PREDICTION
All eyes will be on Envoi Allen here and with good cause with the unbeaten horse going in search of a 12th successive win. He has beaten all before him in some high-class races and will now look to record his third win at the Festival. This time he will be chasing but he has looked at home when doing so in his three races so far and with course and distance no issue for him, the favourite can further enhance his glowing reputation here.
