Holger Rune vs Jack Draper Prediction
Holger Rune produced an outstanding display in the semis against Daniil Medvedev as he beat him 7-5 6-4. The Danish 21-year-old was clutch at the key moments as he took three of his four break points to make the difference in each set which was enough for victory.
That match was competitive but more straight forward than the other semi-final that was incredibly dramatic as Jack Draper stunned Carlos Alcaraz 6-1 0-6 6-4.
The pair traded the first and second set with everything coming down to the deciding set which Draper got the key break in. There was a key video call on a potential double touch which rightly went Draper’s way and that was key in helping him get the break. Just as crucially, Draper managed to hold when a break up and under so much pressure and this win will give him a huge lift.
The pair have met once before in Cincinnati last year and Rune won 6-4 6-2 but we do not read too much into that one. Draper is a different beast now and his tennis has been top level this week.
We like the Brit to go on and get the win here. The pair are playing some quality tennis but Draper has been a class above this week and we fancy him to go on and clinch the title.
