Harriet Dart vs Marie Bouzkova prediction

Harriet Dart arrives in the second-round with considerable momentum after winning four matches in New York. She beat fellow Brit Heather Watson in the final stage of qualifying and then followed that up with an impressive comeback win over Peyton Stearns in round one. They had faced each other just a few weeks ago in Cincinnati, with Stearns winning in straight sets, but it was Dart who came out on top at Flushing Meadows as she won 3-6 6-3 6-2. 

Marie Bouzkova strolled into the second-round as she comfortably got past Elsa Jacquemot. Bouzkova won 6-3 6-2 in just an hour and 26 minutes. The Czech did show some form in Cincinnati, beating Lucrezia Stefanini and Iva Jovic before a loss to eventual champion Coco Gauff. Bouzkova has won two WTA Tour titles this season.

Bouzkova is a firm favourite for this one, but Dart will take confidence from their only previous meeting, which saw the Brit win in three sets at the Eastbourne Open two years ago. Ultimately, Bouzkova will be expected to come through with the win.
