Hamad Medjedovic vs Felix Auger-Aliassime Prediction

It has been some week or so for 21-year-old Hamad Medjedovic after finishing runner-up in Marseille and now he is carrying that form into the Qatar Open. He stunned sixth-seed Stefanos Tsitsipas in the first round on Tuesday and won a three-set thriller 7-6 5-7 7-6 to eliminate the Greek star.

He will look to carry his fine form and momentum into the round of 16 where he now comes up against Canada’s Felix Auger-Aliassime.

Auger-Aliassime edged past Quentin Halys in three sets also 4-6 6-4 7-6 and he has been playing really well so far in 2025 with two titles. He was not quite at his fluent best in the first round however and he did retire hurt in the Rotterdam Open ten days ago so there may still be some question marks around him.

We like the value on Medjedovic here as the odds are very tempting. Auger-Aliassime is the heavy favourite but we are not underestimating the talented Medjedovic. That said, we lean more towards game betting and we expect some lengthy sets in this one and a see-saw battle.
