Hailey Baptiste vs Xiyu Wang prediction
In the first round at the 2026 French Open the other day, number 26 seed Hailey Baptiste saw the first two sets of her clash with Barbora Krejcikova go to tiebreaks before she then eventually romped home 6-2 in the decider. Baptiste has enjoyed some big wins on clay this spring, including defeats of Belinda Bencic, Jasmine Paolini and Aryna Sabalenka at the Madrid Open.
Xiyu Wang heads into this one on the back of an excellent run already. The Chinese qualifier came through three rounds of qualifying before then defeating Danka Kovinic in straight sets, 6-3 6-1, the other day. The 25-year-old is fighting back towards her best, having once been the world number 87 before falling to her current ranking of 148.
Xiyu Wang has done well to reach this stage of the French Open but it is now very likely her run at Roland Garros will come to an end against Baptiste.
