Grigor Dimitrov was handed a tough draw at the Australian Open as he fell to a first-round exit. He was defeated by Tomas Machac in straight sets, with the Czech having just won an event in Adelaide a few days earlier. Dimitrov will be hoping to get a consistent run of matches going after making his full return at the start of the year, following a pectoral injury that kept him out of action for a number of months.
