Greet Minnen got her grass court season off to a brilliant start as she won the Birmingham Classic and then defeated former Grand Slam finalist Danielle Collins in the first-round of the Libema Open. Her form has taken a dip since as she lost in the very next stage of that event and then suffered an early exit in Eastbourne though she did still make it out of the qualifying rounds.
Olivia Gadecki has just one win from her four matches on grass this season. That sole victory came in the first round of Nottingham Open qualifying, but she then lost to Antonia Ruzic. She was also thrashed by Heather Watson 6-0 6-3 in the Birmingham Classic despite being the eighth seed in qualifying and has never won on the main draw at Wimbledon.
Minnen defeated Gadecki 6-3 6-3 in qualifying for the Stuttgart Open last year and is very good value to pick up another straight sets victory against the Aussie.
