- With the majority of eyes on the Match Play event taking place this week, it opens the door for some of the lesser known names on the PGA Tour to showcase their qualities and that could play into the hands of Sahith Theegala.
- Theegala produced a good performance at the Phoenix Open and was going well until an unfortunate shot one from the finish ended his chances of winning while he finished in a tie for seventh at last week’s Valspar Championship so he should be right in the mix here.

- Jhonattan Vegas enjoyed a solid 2021 in which he was able to finish runner-up on three occasions while he enjoyed his time around here last year with the Venezuelan recording a top 20 finish.
