Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard vs Coleman Wong prediction

Coleman Wong will hope for another American hardcourt shock when he takes on Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard. 

The Chinese world number 168 stunned Ben Shelton in Miami earlier this year and will need a replica performance to down the big-serving Frenchman.

Mpetshi Perricard, 22, has been in better form of late after boosting his confidence with a Challenger title in Bordeaux, but he does only have seven tour-level victories in 2025 - just three more that Wong despite playing three times as many matches as the Chinese underdog. 

Both youngsters will feel like they will have their chances in a first ever match-up and while the obvious pick is Mpetshi Perricard given he sits 125 places above his opponent in the rankings, there may be better value in the 21-year-old Chinese hopeful taking it three.
