Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard vs Alexandre Muller prediction

Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard recovered from a poor start to defeat Pedro Martinez in the previous round. Mpetshi Perricard had lost six of his last seven matches heading into the encounter and was poor in set one, with Martinez breaking the big serving Frenchman on three occasions to move clear. However, Mpetshi Perricard was not broken again and held his nerve in the deciding set tiebreak to win 2-6 6-3 7-6. 

He will now take on Alexandre Muller as he also came from a set down in his last match. 17-year-old Darwin Blanch caused Muller problems in the first set and went a set up, while he also broke back in the decider after the Frenchman had gone 3-1 in front. Muller broke again late on to win 6-7 6-3 7-5.

It was not the most convincing of displays from Muller and he may be at risk against Mpetshi Perricard in the next round. Nevertheless, there is just one place between the two in the world rankings and we still expect a very close match in the round-of-16.
