Although the Welshman missed a dart to reach the final, he is still in a strong position in the table and will be relatively satisfied with his performance levels.

For Stephen Bunting, the 2026 Premier League had been shaping up very much like the previous year, with the Bullet winless across the first three nights of action.

However, the world number six burst into life last week, kick-starting his campaign by defeating Luke Humphries, Jonny Clayton and Gian van Veen to claim maximum points.

Bunting averaged in excess of 106 in two of those victories, and you have to think he will play with more freedom now that he is off the mark.
