Gerwyn Price was the standout player in Manchester last week, defeating Luke Humphries, Stephen Bunting and Gian van Veen as he took the nightly spoils, dropping just six legs across those matches.

The Iceman overtook compatriot Jonny Clayton in the process and is firmly in the play-off race as we approach Night 10.

Josh Rock has started to find his feet in the tournament after something of a disastrous start, with the debutant defying a 107+ average from Clayton last week as he made the semi-finals for the second week running.

Rock won one match at the German Darts Grand Prix over the weekend, before losing 6-5 to Niels Zonneveld in the following round, while Price opted to skip that event.

This is a tough one to call as Price has been in excellent form but Rock has started to throw ton-plus averaged with greater regularity. We think this one could go close, with over 9.5 legs not out of the question.
