Gabriel Diallo vs Karen Khachanov prediction

Karen Khachanov will aim to protect another perfect record as he bids to reach the Libema Open semi-finals for the first time. 

The Russian edged qualifier Mackenzie McDonald 6-3 5-7 7-6 to stretch to 5-0 in their head-to-head and will now meet another player he has to lose against. 

Gabriel Diallo has continued to live up to the suggestion his height and serve should make him a real threat on grass as he took down sixth seed Jordan Thompson 4-6 6-1 7-5. 

The Canadian now faces Khachanov for the first time on grass having lost all three of their previous encounters. 

The Russian won in four sets at the Australian Open earlier this year and is the favourite to outlast Diallo, in what could be a closer tussle than many will expect.
