Francisco Comesana vs Nicolas Jarry Prediction

Francisco Comesana will be desperate to kick-start his 2025 season in Rio this week after a disappointing few weeks. He lost in his opening match in Buenos Aires last week but did manage to get a win under his belt in the first round in Rio as he beat Gustavo Heide in three sets.

It was far from straight forward and he remains a long way from his best as he let the Brazilian off time and again. Converting just two of 18 break points was the standout stat from that match and he will have to improve all areas against Nicolas Jarry here.

Jarry started slow in his first-round match losing the first set to Juan Manuel Cerundolo but he got his game together and won the second and third sets. He has been below-par in recent weeks and he contrived to losing against the retiring Diego Schwartzman in Argentina last week. 

He too needs to improve but there is more positivity around him than Comesana coming into this one. We marginally favour Jarry but approach this one with caution.
