Francisco Comesana vs Luciano Darderi prediction

Francisco Comesana notched a rare win on hardcourts as he produced a mini shock against Jaume Munar.

The Argentine saw off a fellow clay-court specialist 6-4 6-4 to tee up a second round encounter with Luciano Darderi.

The Italian is featuring on tour for the first time since his title triumph in Umag and may be slightly vulnerable on his first match back on a different surface.

This will be a first tour-level encounter but Comesana did post a 7-6 6-4 victory in Tigre 2 on clay back in 2022.

Darderi will feel he can have the edge on this faster surface and it’s all down to how refreshed and ready the 29th seed is.
