Francisco Cerundolo vs Tristan Boyer prediction
Francisco Cerundolo was tipped for a deep run at Wimbledon after winning the title at Queen’s Club, where he defeated Tommy Paul in the longest final in the tournament’s history. However, Cerundolo’s poor record at SW19 continued as he was swept aside by Jaume Munar in the opening round. The 27-year-old has been inconsistent at times, but he also did win another title in Buenos Aires during the Golden Swing.
He takes on Tristan Boyer in the round-of-16 after receiving a bye in round one. The American pulled off a fine result as he beat Gabriel Diallo in straight sets. Diallo has struggled for much of the season and his woes continued as Boyer won 7-5 6-2. Boyer was 5-3 down in the first set but reeled off four game in a row to turn the match around, before racing clear in the second.
Cerundolo is likely to be a tougher challenge for Boyer, and he will be a huge underdog for this one.
