Francisco Cerundolo vs Tomas Martin Etcheverry prediction

Francisco Cerundolo was tested in his quarter-final match against Vit Kopriva but still recorded a straight sets victory and remains on course for a second straight final at the Argentina Open. Cerundolo, who is the top seed at the event, went down a break twice in the first set but managed to wrestle back the momentum against Kopriva as he took the lead. He opened up a 3-0 lead at the start of the second, but the Czech reeled off three straight games to draw level. Cerundolo broke again to seal a 6-4 6-3 win.

He now takes on Tomas Martin Etcheverry. The Argentine got through another tight match as he beat Alejandro Tabilo in three sets. Etcheverry struggled at the start of the match and quickly fell behind. Nevertheless, he was far more competitive in sets two and three, eventually going on to win 1-6 6-3 6-4. 

The head-to-head is 2-2 and 1-1 on clay. Cerundolo will find it tough against his compatriot, but he has spent four fewer hours on court and that could become a huge advantage as the match progresses.
