Francisco Cerundolo vs Jakub Mensik prediction

Francisco Cerundolo beat Roman Safiullin in straight sets to reach the third-round of the Shanghai Masters. The world number 20 needed one hour and 36 minutes to seal victory, winning 7-6 (5) 6-3. His best Masters 1000 result of the campaign was a run to the quarter-finals of the Miami Open.

He now faces Jakub Mensik. The Czech enjoyed a dominant win over Miomir Kecmanovic in his opener. Mensik converted all three of his break point opportunities and won 89% of his points on first serve, winning 6-3 6-3.

This will be a fourth meeting between the pair, with Cerundolo leading the head-to-head 3-0. They faced each other just last week at the China Open, with the 28-year-old comfortably winning 6-3 6-3. Mensik tends to struggle in the forehand exchanges with Cerundolo, and he will have to serve extremely well if he is to win for the first time against his upcoming opponent.
