Francisco Cerundolo vs Damir Dzumhur prediction

Francisco Cerundolo competed in Vienna last week, winning his first-round match in fine fashion against Alex Michelsen but then losing to Alexander Bublik in the next stage of the tournament. The Argentine’s form was a lot stronger in the first half of the season, with quarter-final appearances at the Sunshine Double tournaments, along with a strong clay court season which saw him make four semi-finals on the surface, along with a final in his home country of Argentina.

Damir Dzumhur qualified for the tournament after two tight wins against Quentin Halys and Aleksandar Kovacevic. The Bosnian is currently ranked 63 in the world. He’s struggled to pick up hard court wins in 2025, with his best form coming on clay, highlighted by two semi-finals in Umag and Bucharest.

They played each other for the first time in July, with Cerundolo coming through in three sets in the quarter-finals of the Bastad Open. Cerundolo’s season fizzled out a while ago, but he will be a clear favourite to beat Dzumhur.
