Francisco Cerundolo vs Alex de Minaur Prediction

Francisco Cerundolo picked up an excellent win over Botic van de Zandschulp in the last round to put an end to the Dutchman’s remarkable exploits. After losing in the qualifiers, Van de Zandschulp was handed a lucky loser spot before going on to eliminate Nick Kyrgios and Novak Djokovic. Cerundolo was efficient without being spectacular but he won in straight sets to earn a tough clash with Alex de Minaur.

The Australian is looking really strong so far at Indian Wells and he comes off a 6-4 6-0 win over 21st-seed Ugo Humbert. His form in 2025 so far has been really good and he will take some beating this week.

De Minaur met Cerundolo at the Australian Open for the first time and he won in four sets. It was far from dominant but after losing the first set, he took control.

We could see a similar outcome here until De Minaur gets into his rhythm but once he does, we fully expect him to have too much Cerundolo overall.
