Francesco Passaro enters the main draw of the Moselle Open as a qualifier after two wins. He went close to a first title of the year last month but lost in the semi-finals of the Brest Challenger to Eliot Spizzirri. He faces Alexander Blockx, who is ranked 27 places higher at 102 in the world. He comes into this event on the back of his second Challenger title win of the season, as the Belgian won in Bratislava, beating the likes of Jan-Lennard Struff and Raphael Collignon along the way. He won his first ATP match at the Cincinnati Open and the promising youngster is closing in on the top 100 of the world rankings before the end of the season.
