Francesca Jones vs Wang Xiyu prediction

Francesca Jones continued her upwards trajectory in Sao Paulo last time out as she reached the semi-finals after winning three matches in a row. This followed a similarly impressive outing in Guadalajara as he got through to the quarter-finals. Jones also qualified for the US Open and is now ranked at 74 in the world.

She faces Wang Xiyu in round one. She was beaten by Diana Shnaider in the first-round at her most recent tournament in Ningbo. The Chinese player has struggled with injury this season and her ranking currently stands at 145 in the world. She does have a title to her name in 2025, having won a W75 event in Lexington. However, she has just one WTA Tour win after making the second-round in Beijing last month.

Jones has been performing strongly over the last few weeks and should be expecting to come through this one and book a place into the next round of the competition.
