Frances Tiafoe vs Brandon Nakashima prediction

Frances Tiafoe is through to his first semi-final since last April after defeating Mattia Bellucci in straight sets. Tiafoe saved two break points in the opening period of the match before making his move as he broke in the seventh and ninth games to take the first set. He went a break down in the second but managed to wrestle back control. He failed to serve out the match, but broke Bellucci’s serve for a fifth and final time to win 6-3 6-4.

He now takes on Brandon Nakashima. He recovered from a set down to beat Valentin Vacherot. The 2025 Shanghai Masters champion started the stronger of the two players and went ahead after winning the first set with ease. Nakashima began to serve a lot better and did not face a break point in sets two or three as he won 2-6 6-2 6-3 after one hour and 47 minutes.

Tiafoe does dominate the head-to-head, as he leads 5-1 on the ATP. Nevertheless, Nakashima will fancy his chances if he serves well, and Tiafoe has already been vulnerable this week, having saved match points against Aleksandar Kovacevic.

Frances Tiafoe vs Brandon Nakashima tip: Over 22.5 games
