THE PREDICTION
Everton will be hoping for a far less chaotic season than in 2021-23 which saw them go dispense with two managers. Having been appointed this summer, Brian Sorensen will be hoping for much better luck. However, with a much-changed squad it is likely to take time before we see the Toffees show their full potential as they get to grips with the style of play asked of them by Sorensen. West Ham also have a new manager in Paul Konchesky and like Sorensen, he has overseen plenty of incomings and outgoings. With both teams perhaps a little disjoined going into the opening round of games especially from a defensive perspective, goals could be on the menu in this one, so regardless of who comes out on top, consider backing over 2.5 goals scored.
