After an eight-placed finish in last season’s WSL, Tottenham will be hoping for a large improvement this season that sees them push for the Champions League places. They could hardly have asked for a better first game at home to Birmingham, who survived relegation by just two points in 2020-21 and are among the favourites to finish at the bottom of the table this time around.
