THE PREDICTION

Everton failed to back up their impressive 0-4 win away at Birmingham City as they were beaten 0-3 by league leaders Chelsea last time out. The Toffees now sit fifth in the table, four points clear of sixth-placed Brighton. The Seagulls come into this encounter in excellent form though, having accrued four straight WSL victories. Everton will be determined to ensure Brighton don’t close the points gap between the two sides and therefore are likely to set up defensively with a view of keeping the shackles on Brighton going forward. This may lead to a contest low on attacking intent, with little to choose between the two sides and favouring the draw looks like it could prove the smart play here.
