THE PREDICTION

Birmingham are not officially safe from relegation, although with their goal difference advantage over Bristol City there is next to no chance that the Robins will leapfrog them in the table even if the Blues are beaten at home to Tottenham. Spurs are coming off the back of a gruelling contest with league leaders and Champions League finalists Chelsea in midweek, which is sure to have taken its toll on them physically. The visitors have lost their last four league games in succession and are winless in nine WSL matches. Birmingham themselves have failed to win a league fixture since early December 2020 and when taking into account both of these sides’ failings over the past few months, an entertaining draw looks on the cards with both expected to play with the freedom that comes with the final league match of the season and neither having covered themselves in glory defensively over the course of the campaign.
