THE PREDICTION
Vikingur Reykjavik’s 2022/23 European campaign has already been a very enjoyable and fun one. Arnar Gunnlaugsson’s Icelandic champions came through the UEFA Champions League preliminary round, hammering FCI Levadia by six goals to one and then defeating Inter Club d’Escaldes. Then they went to Swedish champions Malmo and, with just ten men, they were defeated 3-2 in Sweden before a thrilling 3-3 draw back at home in Iceland, losing 6-5 on aggregate. They now face a TNS side that suffered heartbreak in the UEFA Champions League first qualifying round last week. The New Saints were leading Linfield in the 94th minute of the second-leg before conceding an equaliser and then losing the match in extra-time. TNS will look to frustrate Vikingur but will be given chances to take a lead back to Wales so both teams scoring looks a good bet for this one.
