THE PREDICTION

One of the most eagerly anticipated ties of the round sees Man City take on European heavyweights Bayern, as Pep Guardiola welcomes the club he used to manage to the Etihad. This was arguably the most difficult draw possible for City, who are still chasing that elusive Champions League title, but in Erling Haaland they possess the most elite finishers in world football, and his contribution over both legs could very well be the deciding factor as to who progresses to the semi-finals. Bayern will do everything they can to stop the supply lines to him though, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see a low-scoring first leg, with under 2.5 goals the prediction.
