THE PREDICTION

Sevilla enter the Group Stage of this season’s Champions League having not been beaten in their opening three La Liga matches, accruing seven points from a possible nine and will be looking to make a positive start at home to Salzburg, who are embarking on their third successive Champions League group stage campaign. Whilst the Austrian Bundesliga champions have made the perfect start to the new season both domestically and in Europe having won ten games from ten in all competitions, they have yet to fully convince defensively, only keeping three clean sheets across those ten fixtures. This could prove their downfall against by far their toughest opposition to date in Sevilla, however Salzburg will not go down without a fight and won’t be afraid to take the goal to the hosts, showing the attacking intent that has seen them rack up 27 goals across the season so far. With that in mind, back both teams to score in this one.
