ALASHKERT VS SHERIFF PREDICTION
After a comfortable 5-0 aggregate triumph over Teuta, Sheriff face off against Alashkert in the second qualifying round of the Champions League. The Armenian side will host the first leg and needed extra time to reach this stage, narrowly beating Connah’s Quay Nomads. Sheriff will prove a tougher test and it remains to be seen how much that second leg against Connah’s Quay took out of the hosts from a physical perspective. Home advantage could also play an important part with Alashkert having been beaten at home just once since last November. Sheriff, knowing they are at home in the second leg aren’t expected to take any huge risks going forward that could see them caught out and facing a deficit to overturn back in Moldova. Therefore, it would be no surprise to see these two sides play out a draw in this first leg, with under 2.5 goals scored.
