THE PREDICTION

Lyon head into their Champions League second leg against fellow French giants PSG with home advantage and most importantly a one-goal lead after a controversial penalty four minutes from time gave Lyon a priceless away goal and a 0-1 victory in the first leg at Parc de Princes. The Parisians now face a daunting task to turn this tie around, considering that Lyon have won all but one of their matches played in every competition so far this season. However, that one defeat did come at the hands of PSG in another contest decided by a single goal, so all hope is not lost for the visitors. However, Lyon’s defence is imposing, having conceded just two goals in their last 12 games in all competitions and PSG face a daunting prospect needing to breach it at least once if they are to progress here. Whatever the outcome, another low scoring encounter is expected between the two sides and under 2.5 goals scored over the course of 90 minutes has to be favoured in Lyon.
