THE PREDICTION
Bayern Munich travel to Chelsea for this Champions League semi-final second leg with a slender advantage, having won the first leg 2-1 in Germany. Having come into that match off the back of two defeats in their last three games in all competitions, to secure a victory against Emma Hayes’ side was no mean feat. However, all hope is not lost for Chelsea after they secured a crucial away goal and a 1-0 win for them here would see them qualify for the final. With 17 goals scored in their last five games in all competitions, the hosts certainly have the firepower to breach the Bayern defence for the second successive match, although with the onus on Chelsea to push bodies forward and take the contest to the visitors, Bayern are likely to be afforded a number of clear-cut chances themselves and will not be shy in attacking heavily in a bid to take advantage of any extra space inside the opposition half. Whilst the outcome of the tie itself could go either way, both teams to score in this second leg is expected with Chelsea looking to fight their way back into the semi-final and Bayern aiming for at least one away goal that may go a long way towards them ultimately reaching the final.
