THE PREDICTION

After overcoming Wolfsburg in their Champions League quarter-final, Chelsea will look to do the double over German opposition in the knockout stage as they lock horns with Bayern Munich in the semi-finals. Emma Hayes’ side come into this match just four days after a crunch top of the table WSL showdown with Man City and it remains to be seen how much that will have taken out of her squad from a physical perspective. Bayern however, are currently suffering through a rare poor spell as head into this encounter off the back of successive defeats for the first time this season. After being knocked out of the DFB Pokal by Wolfsburg, they suffered their very first loss in this season’s Frauen Bundesliga after losing 2-3 to Hoffenheim. Chelsea may be set to capitalise on facing a team low on confidence following two damaging defeats and attacking duo Fran Kirby and Sam Kerr will no doubt be relishing the prospect of taking on a defence that have conceded five goals over the course of those two defeats. With that in mind, Chelsea draw no bet may prove the smart play here.
