If the first leg between these two sides was anything to go by, then we are in for another absolute cracker of a game between last season’s Champions League finalists. It was PSG who came out on top away to Bayern Munich, beating the defending champions 2-3 in their quarter-final first leg despite the hosts registering 31 shots on goal, the most faced by PSG in the Champions League since the 2003/04 season. Bayern know that they will need to be equally as offensive in Paris with them needing at least two goals to overturn this tie. Whilst the visitors certainly have the quality within their squad to record those two goals even without star striker Robert Lewandowski, PSG will inevitably be afforded numerous chances themselves as they once again look to capitalise on the space left in behind by Hansi Flick’s side. For Bayern, this is a risk they simply have no choice but to take and as a result will likely lead to another goal-fest between these two teams.
