OLYMPIACOS VS FC PORTO PREDICTION

FC Porto can relax safely in the knowledge that their place in the UEFA Champions League knockout stage is already confirmed. Olympiacos on the other hand, cannot relax as despite being eliminated from the competition, the Greek champions are in a battle with Marseille to finish third place in Group C and earn a place in the UEFA Europa League knockout stage. Home advantage in this match could prove vital, with FC Porto perhaps not envying a trip to Greece for what is essentially a dead rubber for them. Combine that with Olympiacos needing to win should they wish to confirm a third-place finish in Group C and the superior desire of the hosts should see them play at a much higher level than FC Porto. It is that desire and commit that is expected to prove the difference, with Olympiacos picking up those crucial three points.
