CHELSEA VS RENNES PREDICTION

After a cagey 0-0 draw with Sevilla on Matchday 1, Chelsea really got their UEFA Champions League group stage campaign up and running on Matchday 2 with a comfortable 0-4 win away at Russian side Krasnodar. Frank Lampard’s side have not conceded a goal in this season’s competition thus far, with plenty of praise reserved for new signing Edouard Mendy. The Blues keeper faces a reunion with his old club on Matchday 3 as Rennes are the visitors to Stamford Bridge. Currently third in Ligue 1, ‘Les Rouge et Noir’ secured their first win in four league games at the weekend after beating Brest 2-1. They face an altogether more difficult challenge against the Premier League giants and with Mendy surely determined not to let his old club score past him, Chelsea winning this match to nil must be considered strongly here.
