THE PREDICTION
Things have not gone to plan for Besiktas since they opened their 2020-21 campaign with a 3-1 victory against Trabzonspor as they have picked up only one point from their two subsequent league games and sandwiched between those matches was a penalty shoot-out defeat against Rio Ave in Europe. The hosts were well beaten by Konyaspor last weekend, with a late goal from Gokhan Tore proving to be scant consolation in a 4-1 defeat and a positive response is very much needed in this match. Genclerbirligi will hope that Besiktas are out of sorts again as they have started the season poorly and have yet to score in two previous outings. That poor form in the final third is nothing new for the visiting team as they failed to score in five of their last seven games in the 2019-20 Super Lig, and so it would be no big surprise if Besiktas recorded a shutout win in this contest.
