THE PREDICTION
This match was originally due to be postponed due to positive coronavirus tests in the Zurich squad which led to their match against Sion being postponed at the weekend but they have agreed to compete with a depleted first team. This is not ideal for the visitors as they are chasing a place in Europe and they would face a tough enough challenge to defeat the home team in any case. Basel’s championship hopes are pretty much over as they trail St. Gallen by seven points but they are still targeting a strong finish to the season and recorded an impressive 3-2 victory against title-challengers Young Boys on Saturday. Basel recorded a comfortable win in the last meeting between the clubs back in February and they are tipped to ease to victory on this occasion too.
