THE PREDICTION
Real Zaragoza’s messy season off-the-field continued on-the-pitch in midweek as they were knocked out of the Copa Del Rey by Alcorcon. However, a relatively improved December in which they picked up half of their season’s victories was backed up with a 1-1 draw away to fellow strugglers Cartagena last week. They come up against a Logrones side firmly in mid-table with aspirations for an unlikely playoff spot after beginning their year with a 2-1 victory over Mirandes; it ended a winless streak of seven matches in all competitions. Much like the majority of the rest of Spain, both sides tend to not score and not concede that much. Despite being in the relegation zone, Zaragoza have only conceded 21 goals in 20 games this season, which is less than Logrones. The home side haven’t been involved in a game with over two goals in it in their last seven and have only featured in two games with over three goals. Their opponents, following Segunda Division B promotion last season, have similarly not been involved in many high-scoring encounters; in fact, one of their last 13 games in all competitions has featured more than three goals. This one will likely be low scoring so under 2.5 goals seems a sensible and likely bet.
