THE PREDICTION
Espanyol are showing their promotion credentials right from the start of this Segunda campaign following their relegation from Primera. They have won four and drawn one of their five matches and have yet to concede a single goal. In truth, their schedule has been quite favourable as their only real test has come against Mallorca where they drew otherwise they have played teams all expected to be in the bottom half of the table. This therefore provides another test of their credentials against a Rayo side who will be motivated to measure themselves against the leaders. Bizarrely, after being the draw kings last season, Rayo have yet to be involved in one after five games but that could change here. They will be somewhat cautious against the leaders but they are capable of grabbing a point here.
