THE PREDICTION
Mallorca will be looking to make a fast start on their return to the Segunda and shake off their relegation disappointment. They have won their last three friendlies and kept clean sheets in all three, and they have managed to retain the vast majority of their squad for this upcoming season. They will be without Japanese star Kubo but they have kept their back four in tact for what looks like a really solid core. They may not be as dynamic going forward but they should be solid enough at the back, which should see them compete for promotion this term. Rayo were disappointed to miss out on the play-offs last season but they will be confident of pushing for the top six again. They will be no pushovers for Mallorca and these two teams are relatively well-matched. Rayo drew 50% of their 42 league games last season and they will consider a draw to be a good result from this away day. A stalemate could very well be on the cards.
