THE PREDICTION
Real Mallorca have been one of the more entertaining sides in the division and this epitomised in their last three results in all competitions: 3-2 defeat to Fuenlabrada, after being down to nine men before half time, a 2-2 draw at Oviedo, after being 2-0 up in 20 minutes, 2-2 draw after extra time against Fuenlabrada going on to lose on penalties. This run does represent a blip, too, in terms of form as the Balearic Islanders have slipped from top spot in that time. They now come up against a Las Palmas side who have been a thorn in the side of their closest competitors. Both Espanyol and Almeria have been defeated by the Canary Islanders, however, the crucial detail of that was that they were away games. Mallorca will fancy their chances of getting back on track but a both teams to score bet, considering that form, looks a strong possibility.
