Malaga come into this on the back of a 1-0 loss away to Real Oviedo last weekend which has extended their winless run of five matches. That run of form has seen the Andalusians fade into the bottom-half but with no danger of going anywhere near the relegation battle. They come up against a Girona side that made it five successive victories with a win at home to playoff rivals Sporting Gijon last weekend. That win means they are in a very strong position to finish in the top six. Given that form, they are very likely to carry it on against an out-of-form Malaga side with nothing to play for but double chance would be a solid bet for it.
