Girona slipped to a 2-0 defeat at Tenerife in their last match before the Christmas break so they will be desperate to get back to winning ways here and close the gap on the play-off places. They will see this fixture as the perfect opportunity to get back on track as they welcome relegation-threatened Sabadell who sit in the bottom four despite some good results before the break. They have won two and drawn two of their last five league matches which will give them some confidence that they can survive the drop.
